BROOKE.

                     “because, unlike you, jake is actually my friend and he
                      talked to me. he also showed me the video. and i am
                      the reason why my dad was ARRESTED.” 

                      brooke explained, her brown eyes burning with anger.
                      how could nina look so surprised? was she actually
                      going to keep hiding that from brooke forever? the
                      blonde could not even LOOK at her. shutting her eyes,
                      she took a deep breath. 

                      “you were never going to tell me, were you? if piper
                       had never decided to get revenge on maggie, none
                       of you would bother to tell me the truth. that was my
                       dad, nina. you were blackmailing my own father
                       behind my back. how could you?” 

           “this is the reason i didn’t tell you. everything i did, said or recorded has
          really ruined my life from that knife to my throat. alright, yes, i recorded
            it but it was also jake and will that kept it going. i should have told you
          sooner, i should have but if i did, you would have reacted the same way.”

         there was no winning for losing here. either brooke would be mad or she
        would be mad. there was no middle ground. nina was never punished or
       penalized for anything she did and it all caught up to her faster than a 360
       and she didn’t know how to handle it. brooke was right– - she was never
      going to tell her. it was easier to never tell and keep brooke than to tell the
       truth and lose one of the only people who have stuck with her. and even
                                             that was running on thin ice.

      “—– - no. i wasn’t. i knew you’d finally have a valid reason to hate me and
       you found out anyway. you might not believe it when i say i’m really sorry
     brooke– i am. no matter the reason for doing it or not telling you, you should
                                           have been told the truth before.”

     “tell me, nina, did you really think i
      would n e v e r find out you were
      blackmailing my father? i mean, i
      always knew you were a spoiled
      sociopath with no impulse control
      but that was too low even for you.”

      those were the first words that came 
      out of brooke’s lips the second she
      spotted a mess of strawberry blonde
      locks walking down the hallway. she
      was upset. NO. brooke was feeling
      betrayed, as if she had been stabbed
      in the back. the worst part of all that
      drama was brooke KNEW what an
      awful person nina could be. and still,
      she actually hoped their friendship
      was more than schemes, that it was
      somewhat r e a l.

                  nina felt her heart completely freeze mid-beat, she always
                 knew   she   would be caught in her vicious schemes that    she
                  almost had  forgotten   about the   whole plot  against the mayor
                 — - brooke’s FATHER. she honestly didn’t wanna tell brooke
                 about it,    knowing she’d   hate  her   more than she already did
                 and with   every   reason. since her  attack, it had really opened
                 her   eyes to   see that she    had way too far to where someone
                 would KILL  to make the torture  end and   she felt guilty for the
                 first  time   since.. well, forever. her    head    shook,   as  if she
                 couldn’t believe brooke found out about it.

                 “Oh my god. How did you find out?”

BROOKE.

          “so you can torture the poor girl?
           L O O K, do whatever you want,
           nina, just leave me o u t of this.
           emma is a nice person and she
           deserves better than that.”

           “you’re already involved, brooke. whether you like it or not. you know about it, makes you TWICE as bad as me if not w o r s e. so go on, go tell her, see how much she’ll still want to be your friend. sink your own ship but what i’m going to do with the video is none of your concern so don’t make it, got it? I might not even do anything with it. — by the way, party tonight at my house at eight so wear something casual with a swim suit underneath or just come in your bathing suit  because duh, the pool. you know the rules: dress the occasion, bring condoms, no losers allowed and never take over as the host of my party. you can be cohost though! wear that one outfit you bought this week, it looks great on you, plus brings out your eyes but dress it down. see you there? ”

BROOKE.

     “yes, nina, i am being a buzzkill
      because the bet o n l y involved
      will taking emma’s virginity. we
      never said anything about a sex
      tape. can’t you just delete it?”

           “i COULD. but i think i’ll keep it at arms length.”
